Step into 2023 as a part of The EPT fundraising team

Money raised by our fundraisers means that we provide our services free of charge to anyone who turns to us in their time of need. Without our fundraisers, we simply would not exist.

From passionate parasailers, supportive skydivers, remarkable runners, breath-taking bakers, to our wonderful walkers, our fundraising community continues to support the charity.

Whether you are considering taking on a challenge in tribute of your own experience of ectopic pregnancy, in support of someone you love or to raise awareness of the condition and charity, our fundraising team are ready to welcome you and offer support and advice throughout your journey.

Meet the team

Jill

You will be welcomed to the fundraising team by our fundraising coordinator Jill, who has been with the charity for 15 years after previously experiencing her own in ectopic pregnancy in 2004. Jill is on hand with advice or guidance whether you know exactly what challenge you would like to set yourself or are at the planning stages of your 2023 fundraising journey. Full of enthusiasm and ideas, Jill loves nothing more than engaging with her team and adds a personal touch from the moment your free fundraising pack is sent to you to the moment you complete your event and beyond.

Lois

If you join the EPT1000 challenge Facebook group or would like to join our Strava groups, you will meet our fundraising support coordinator Lois. After joining the EPT1000 herself in 2019, after going through an ectopic pregnancy in 2011. Lois soon began volunteering and offering support, advice and encouragement to others who bravely take on the 1000 mile/km challenge. Adding mini challenges to keep you motivated along the way, Lois can’t wait to welcome you and support you on your fundraising journey.

Mary

EPT Volunteer Mary, adds a wonderful amount of advice and experience in our EPT Runners Facebook group. An avid runner and supporter of the charity, Mary is passionate about providing you with encouragement and motivation throughout your chosen running event. Keep an eye on the Facebook group for mini challenges throughout the year.

Looking for EPT challenges or events local to you?

Often once you have decided to become a fundraiser the biggest challenge is finding an event that suits you! You are welcome to be as creative as you like, or you can choose from one of our EPT challenges or fundraising partner events.

Participate in the EPT1000 Challenge, covering 1000 miles or 1000km within 12 months, local to your home or within your own home. You can count climbing the stairs, participating in fitness videos and even gardening in totting up your miles or kilometres.

We are delighted to work with Run4Charity to offer over 350 events near you. From 10ks to obstacle courses, simply select your area and check out your local options.

Many people tell us how a cup of tea and piece of cake with a friend or family member can provide some much-needed comfort during their recovery. With an EPTea Party you can combine a cuppa with friends with raising awareness and funds.

From thrill-seeking to nominating us at your local supermarket, we have a range of ideas to help you get you started...

Our fundraising inspiration page offers many options from thrill-seeking skydives, mountain climbing, trekking, and wing-walking to supporting The EPT through your own business with Work for Good, nominating The EPT at your local supermarket and creating Facebook fundraisers to mark a special occasion.

You can also take a look at some of past and current fundraisers stories.

Whichever event you decide on, we cannot wait to welcome you to our team in 2023!
