Chris Runs in the Brighton Marathon

Chris' Story

Last year we had an ectopic pregnancy, which led to Emma having emergency surgery to save her life.

The information provided by The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust through the NHS was a great source of help during a time we had so many questions and worries. They provided a pack of information at diagnosis which has been invaluable in guiding us through this time and have been on hand for further support when questions arise. It could have been an isolated and lonely time, but they have been by our side throughout.

I wanted to raise money for the ectopic pregnancy trust to help the charity to continue its work and to remember our lost baby.

I was unsure if I was going to make it to the start line as two weeks before the marathon I had an accident whilst out running which resulted in surgery to both my knees. However, the stitches were removed the Thursday before the race and I managed to gingerly get round the course on what was a very sunny and windy day.

Our heartfelt thanks goes out to Chris for his determination running in the Brighton Marathon and hope his knees are on the mend.  He raised much needed funds and awareness.
